Commercial Analyst

Commercial Analyst | Cheshire | £40,000 - £50,000

An opportunity for a commercially focussed individual to join a high profile business based in Cheshire. This role will allow the right person to act more as a Commercial Business Partner to a high growth business unit, providing key commercial data and working closely with internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate with a strong commercial acumen and an appetite to learn in a high performing team.

Main duties will include;

• Prepare and distribute regular performance updates, highlighting key business activity metrics and financial insights
• Analyse and comment on monthly financial outcomes, identifying notable changes and providing underlying context
• Take ownership of cost tracking processes, ensuring all operating expenditure is monitored in line with timelines
• Collaborate with department leads to assess expected future spending, encouraging critical evaluation of trends
• Investigate and explain any differences between financial expectations and actual figures across key areas
• Maintain up-to-date staffing projections, aligning closely with team leaders to reflect changes in resource planning
• Review internal labour-related costs allocated to longer-term initiatives, ensuring alignment with accounting standards
• Conduct profitability assessments, factoring in internal flows of goods and services across the wider group structure
• Leverage external and internal datasets to generate commercially relevant insights and inform ongoing decision-making
• Contribute to the development of financial planning tools, strategic forecasts, commercial proposals, and compliance checks

Candidate profile;

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or Part Qualified
• Excellent communication skills
• Natural commercial acumen
• Excellent Excel skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels
