Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager looking for a role where you can broaden your commercial and contractual expertise beyond a traditional construction environment?

This is an opportunity to join a technically driven organisation delivering high-integrity technology and control systems across some of the UK's most important infrastructure environments, including Intelligent Transport Systems, Highways, Airports and Power.

You'll take a key role in protecting and enhancing the commercial performance of a diverse portfolio of technology-led projects, working closely with Project Managers, Directors, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

The Opportunity

As Commercial & Contract Manager, you'll provide commercial and contractual support throughout the full project lifecycle.
You'll have genuine exposure to:
• Client contract review, negotiation and administration
• NEC3 and NEC4 contract management
• Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
• Commercial and contractual risk management
• Subcontract procurement, negotiation and administration
• Change management and the preparation of quotations
• Client payment applications and supplier/subcontractor assessments
• Contractual notices and commercial communications
• Resolution of contractual and commercial issues
• Commercial reporting and the development of best practice

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with senior decision-makers across the business, this is a role where your commercial judgement will have a visible impact.

What are we looking for?

You'll be a commercially astute and organised professional who is confident managing contracts, negotiating with stakeholders and balancing multiple priorities.

You'll ideally bring:

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Law or equivalent practical experience
• Strong practical knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4
• Experience managing Compensation Events, Early Warnings and NEC payment mechanisms
• A sound understanding of contract law and construction contracts
• Experience reviewing and negotiating client and subcontract agreements
• Strong commercial awareness and contract management capability
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills

Professional membership is desirable, but not essential.

• £57,500 - £67,500 basic salary, depending on experience
