Commercial Assistant Opportunity

A well-established and growing business within the commercial interiors and workplace sector is seeking a proactive and organised Commercial Assistant to join its team in Hatfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop a career in commercial management, quantity surveying, procurement, project delivery, or construction support within a fast-paced project environment.

The Role

Working closely with the commercial and project teams, you will provide essential support across multiple projects, helping to ensure the efficient financial and administrative management of contracts from initial enquiry through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with the preparation of quotations, valuations, and commercial reports
Supporting cost management and project financial tracking
Raising purchase orders and monitoring supplier invoices
Maintaining accurate project and commercial documentation
Assisting with procurement activities and supplier coordination
Supporting subcontractor administration and compliance processes
Monitoring project variations and associated records
Producing reports, spreadsheets, and cost trackers using Excel
Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Providing general commercial and administrative support to the wider teamCandidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Good numerical and analytical abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learnDesirable Experience

Previous experience within a commercial, construction, fit out, manufacturing, or project support environment
Experience processing purchase orders, invoices, or commercial documentation
Knowledge of workplace interiors, furniture, fit out, or construction projects
An interest in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Procurement, or Project ManagementWhat's on Offer?
