Commercial Associate (35 years PQE)

Our client is seeking a talented and driven Commercial Associate with three to five years’ post -qualification experience to join their highly regarded Commercial practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a close -knit, collaborative team on a diverse range of high -quality matters, often with a cross -border element.

You will advise clients on a broad spectrum of commercial, IT, and intellectual property matters, with a focus on both transactional work and standalone advisory projects. You will work directly alongside partners and senior lawyers, playing an active role in client engagement and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in the majority of the following areas:

Commercial Contracts

• Drafting and negotiating a range of agreements: T&Cs, supply, distribution, franchise, sponsorship, etc.
  

• Advising on contract rights, amendments, novations
  

IT & Technology

• Software licensing, cloud -based solutions, support/maintenance agreements
  

• Procurement and disposal of hardware/software
  

Intellectual Property

• IP protection strategies, licences and assignments
  

• Advice on infringement and enforcement
  

Outsourcing

• Drafting sourcing and procurement agreements
  

• Cloud outsourcing
  

Data Privacy

• GDPR compliance advice
  

Corporate Support

• Due diligence, SPA/BPA warranties, transitional services agreements
  

Additional Experience (Desirable)

• Consumer law and rights
  

• Advertising, e -commerce, gaming
  

• Hospitality, sports, and media sectors
  

Requirements

We are looking for a highly capable and motivated individual with:

• Qualification as a solicitor (UK or equivalent international jurisdiction)
  

• 3–5 years’ PQE in commercial, IT, or IP law at a recognised practice
  

• A minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) from a top -tier institution
  

• Excellent legal drafting and technical skills
  

• Strong interpersonal and client -facing abilities
  

• Confidence, initiative, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively
  

• A commercial mindset and attention to detail
