Commercial Broker

A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting a Commercial Broker to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm and paying £27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
Build strong relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters.
Understand client requirements and risk exposures, providing suitable insurance solutions.
Manage new business and renewals from initial enquiry through to policy placement.
Obtain and negotiate competitive quotations, terms, premiums and cover with insurers.
Prepare market presentations, risk submissions and renewal documentation.
Review policy wordings, endorsements and insurer documentation to ensure accuracy.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products and support business growth.
Maintain accurate records across broking and CRM systems.
Ensure all advice and activities meet FCA, Consumer Duty and company compliance requirements.Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Commercial Broker position:

Must have previous experience within commercial insurance broking, with essential experience dealing with Fleet, Goods in Transit, Property and Construction insurance.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets and the placement process.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Confident dealing with clients, insurers and underwriters.
CII qualification or willingness to work towards relevant CII qualifications is desirable.
