Your new role working as a Broker Underwriter means that you will be working for a mid-market Commercial Insurer based in the city, where it has been serving its customers for over 40 years. Providing efficient, timely and professional support to brokers for both new business & renewals, midterm adjustment and general enquiries. Due to exciting growth within their team, a fantastic opportunity for a Broker Underwriter to join their London team has arisen.

Your new job working as a Broker Underwriter means you will be responsible for:

• Review and analyse risk submissions
• Provide accurate pricing recommendations
• Dealing with Commercial combined business
• Proactively develop strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers
• Underwrite commercial combined/SME risks within the Broker Business team, wholesale business
• Quoting new business, and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals).

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 3 years experience in insurance underwriting within commercial/SME lines.
• Cert CII of equivalent professional qualification
• Good understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Knowledge and experience of underwriting insurance risks
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Good communications and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
