Commercial Counsel - Financial Services

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Counsel to join a reputable financial services organisation in London. Operating on a hybrid working basis, you will join a team of highly skilled lawyers working on a broad variety of matters in-house.

Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements
• Provide clear and commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations within the financial services sector.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on their impact on the organisation.
• Manage external legal counsel relationships as needed.
• Assist in resolving legal disputes and mitigating potential risks if needed.
• Support the legal department in the development of policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on legal matters.

Profile

The successful candidate should have:

• A qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales.
• 2 - 5 PQE
• Ideally bringing experience with applicable laws and regulations in financial services.
• Proven ability to negotiate and draft complex legal agreements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
