Multi skilled commercial engineer / plumber

Exciting opportunity for a Commercial multi skilled mechanical engineer with a plumbing bias to join the London Borough of Camden’s in-house FM service. We are a small, friendly but growing team who are looking to expand as we take on new customers. We are looking for a qualified plumber / mechanical engineer who has ambition to develop their skills and to further their career with us. Starting on a temporary basis with a view to a permanent role after a short initial period.

Main duties of the Commercial multi skilled engineer / plumber

* Planned maintenance and statutory testing on mechanical / plumbing. plant and equipment including taps, TMV’s, radiators, pumps, CWST’s etc.

*

Diagnosing and resolving plumbing repair issues on associated plant.

*

Assisting with putting together basic specifications for minor installation works and then carrying out plumbing works if required.

*

Use of handheld and new technologies (i.e BMS) systems to actively manage works.

Requirements Commercial multi skilled engineer / plumber

* Competence and experience in mechanical commercial engineering / plumbing with a recognised qualification.

* Strong problem-solving skills with ability to research and review O & M manuals.

* Strong customer services skills.

* Willingness to learn

* Ability to manage own workload working within agreed timeframes.

* Working knowledge of H & S regulations in relation to own plumbing works including L8, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

* Driving licence

* Ability to work as part of a team
