Commercial Finance Analyst

We are thrilled to be working with a highly respected professional services organisation seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their evolving finance team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment where finance plays a pivotal role in shaping business strategy.
You'll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across multiple business areas - providing clear insight into financial performance, guiding forecasting and planning, and helping drive profitability across the organisation.

This role comes with an annual salary of up to £55,000.00.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering insightful financial analysis and monthly performance reviews to key stakeholders across various teams
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes - ensuring clarity and accuracy at every step
• Evaluating business cases and supporting investment decisions through robust modelling and appraisal
• Partnering with leaders to identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost efficiency
• Monitoring and managing financial KPIs, billing, cash collection, and time recording
• Assisting with profitability analysis, and commercial input into business development opportunities
• Taking ownership of ad hoc project work and contributing to continuous improvement across finance processes
• Providing finance training to non-finance stakeholders and enhancing financial understanding across the business

Candidate Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical knowledge and commercial instinct
• Excellent Excel and data modelling skills, with the ability to distil complex data into meaningful insight
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-focused environment
• A proactive and curious mindset, always looking to add value and improve how things are done
