Commercial Finance Analyst

Overview

Mitchell Adam are currently working with an ambitious and sustainability-driven environmental firm in the heart of Birmingham, seeking a sharp analytically driven Commercial Finance Analyst to join their high-performing finance team, and assist with the day to day forecasting operations. In this role, you'll act as a key partner between finance and the wider operational function, delivering insight, challenging data, and transforming the numbers into strategy. From supporting forecasts to driving revenue and production efficiencies, your work will have real impact from day one.

You will be collaborating across departments to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights, producing bespoke reports and forecasts that support operational decision-making. Reporting into the FP&A Lead, you will be owning budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple functions.

Skills Needed

• Proven experience in FP&A, with a strong grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills so you're comfortable challenging assumptions and presenting to stakeholders.
• Actively studying ACCA or CIMA, with a clear path to qualification (full study support provided).
