Location: Hybrid – 3 days from home, 2 days on-site in Northampton
Salary: £35,000 per annum

About the role
Irlam Associates are assisting a great client who are seeking a commercially astute and analytically driven Commercial Finance Analyst to support our fast-paced warehouse and transport division. Working closely with the Commercial Team, this role plays a vital part in producing accurate, competitive and commercially sound pricing models for new business opportunities, tenders and re-bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Commercial Team in responding to tender opportunities within the warehouse and transport function
• Build detailed financial and operational labour pricing models based on customer requirements
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the bid process are aligned
• Manage end-to-end pricing activities from initial enquiry to final submission
• Ensure accurate, competitive and commercially viable solutions are developed in line with operational capabilities
• Balance the need for speed with the importance of precision in pricing and modelling
• Communicate effectively across departments to manage expectations and timelines
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in bid process, pricing tools and stakeholder engagement

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in commercial finance, tender support or pricing within logistics, warehousing or transport is highly desirable
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability
• High attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial mindset with a clear understanding of balancing competitiveness and operational feasibility
