The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the forecasting and analysis of critical business drivers, ensuring robust financial performance and contributing to long-term value creation. The position is primarily based in Manchester, with a flexible hybrid working model.

What you'll do:

As a Commercial Finance Cost Analyst, your role will be integral to maintaining strong financial cost performance within the company. You will lead the forecasting and analysis of key business drivers, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to create robust cost management and discipline. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to identify variances, develop mitigating actions, and track these on an ongoing basis. You will also ensure alignment across the business in how things are accounted for, facilitating accurate and insightful analysis to drive maximum benefit and efficiency.

• Lead the forecasting and analysis of key business drivers
• Create strong cost management and discipline across the organisation
• Identify causes of variances and develop mitigating actions
• Ensure alignment across the business in accounting practices
• Proactively work with budget holders to identify risks and opportunities
• Deliver accurate opex costings within required timescales
• Champion agile thinking and continuous innovation for process improvement
