Reed Accountancy is delighted to support our Coventry-based client with the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager.

We are seeking an experienced individual with expertise in both commercial management and financial accounting, as well as managing a small team of approximately five co-workers. The role involves reporting to the business Directors to ensure the integrity of all financial records, providing financial control, managing the operating cashflow of the business, and driving commercial strategy. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior business management team.

Main Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing commercial strategies

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities

Negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships

Analysing market trends and competitor activities

Collaborating with business partners to drive revenue growth

Responsible for the wider accounting team:

Management Accounting

Fixed Assets

Year-End Statutory Accounting

Budgeting and Forecasting

Year-on-Year Variance Analysis

Financial Modelling

Monthly Payroll – full cycle

P&L Reporting

VAT Returns

XERO experience would be highly advantageous

Management of the wider accounting team

This role would suit candidates with similar experience, particularly those from service-providing sectors, although this is not a prerequisite.

The ideal candidate will be qualified with ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAEW, or similar. Have a good understanding on business commercials. Individuals who are part-qualified are very much welcomed to apply.
