Location: Wakefield area

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Manager to join a forward-thinking and well-established food manufacturing business based near Wakefield. Working as a key part of the senior finance team, you’ll partner closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, improve financial processes, and support sustainable growth.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating with commercial teams to develop robust cost and pricing models.
• Providing detailed analysis of business performance to support strategic decision-making.
• Driving improved visibility of product profitability and commercial performance.
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles across commercial functions.
• Managing financial risk around open book contracts, commodities, and FX exposure.
• Evaluating business cases for new projects and capital expenditure.
• Supporting commercial tenders, new product development, and executive planning.

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with experience in commercial finance, ideally in a manufacturing or FMCG setting.
• Someone comfortable with complex cost modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• A proactive business partner who can confidently challenge assumptions and support value-adding initiatives.
• Strong systems experience and excellent Excel skills.
• A natural communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
