Our client, a leading manufacturing business, is seeking a commercially focused Finance Manager to join its site-based finance team in Derbyshire. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, influence strategic decisions, and drive commercial performance through robust financial insight and analysis

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance and working cross-functionally with commercial and operational teams, you will play a key role in providing financial leadership around pricing, product profitability, and margin optimisation. You’ll be responsible for translating complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations that support commercial growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver insight-driven analysis to support commercial decision-making
• Develop and manage pricing models, product costings, and margin analysis
• Partner with Commercial and NPD teams to support new product development and market launches
• Lead on master data governance for product information, ensuring accuracy and control
• Support forecasting and budgeting processes for commercial and sales functions
• Track and report cost price increases, ensuring appropriate commercial recovery
• Manage and develop a small team of finance staff

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ICAEW) or Qualified by Experience
• Strong experience in a commercially focused finance role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG
• Skilled in financial modelling and data analysis, with a high level of proficiency in Excel
• Effective communicator with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus
• Experience in managing or mentoring team members is advantageous
