Commercial Financial Controller

What you'll be doing:

• Build and manage robust financial models for new business bids, re-tenders, and renegotiations
• Provide commercial insight to sales teams during client tenders and negotiations
• Lead budgeting and long-range planning processes aligned with business goals
• Monitor contract performance using key financial KPIs (e.g. GP%, labour ratios)
• Deliver actionable analysis through flash reports, dashboards, and scenario planning
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Procurement to optimise profitability
• Leverage data tools and systems to improve financial transparency and performance tracking

What we're looking for:

• A confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders across all levels
• Someone who goes beyond the numbers to understand how the business operates
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas, etc.)
• Experience working in a fast-paced SME or contract-based environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and to tight deadlines
• A proactive mindset with a hands-on, problem-solving attitude
