Commercial Head of Cleaning and Waste

The Role As the Commercial Head of Cleaning & Waste, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cleaning and waste management across a large-scale, high-footfall venue or event environment. With a clear focus on sustainability and innovation, you’ll ensure service excellence while managing budgets, teams, and senior-level stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full scope of cleaning and waste operations, ensuring optimal service delivery across the site.
• Develop and implement sustainability initiatives, driving environmental best practices.
• Manage the full P&L, ensuring strong financial performance and cost control.
• Provide regular reports, analysis, and strategic insights to board-level stakeholders.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement across all cleaning and waste services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, facilities, sustainability, and event teams.

About You

• Proven experience leading cleaning, waste, or environmental services in a complex or large-scale environment—ideally venues, stadiums, or event settings.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience in P&L ownership and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
• A genuine passion for sustainability, efficiency, and service excellence.
• A results-driven mindset with the ability to think strategically and deliver operational impact.
