Commercial Heating Engineer

An established and growing building services and maintenance department seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join its team across various locations in Edinburgh.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair and installation of commercial gas heating systems across a range of commercial and public-sector properties. Duties will include planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault-finding, breakdown response and remedial works, ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently.Key Responsibilities

Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems in office blocks, leisure facilities and hotel-type accommodation,
Service, repair and maintain commercial boilers, burners and heating plant,
Diagnose and resolve faults on heating, hot water and control systems
Complete gas safety inspections, testing and commissioning
Produce accurate service reports and maintenance records
Ensure compliance with Gas Safe regulations
Provide a high level of customer service across multiple client sitesWhat you'll need to succeed
Essential Requirements

City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 qualifications (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Heating or Mechanical Services
Current Gas Safe Registration with relevant commercial gas qualifications
Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance contracts
Good understanding of Gas Safety and Health & Safety legislation
Full UK driving licenceWhat you'll get in return
You will be offered a long-term contract with an immediate start with one of the most recognisable employers in the Edinburgh area. There is a high chance of this position moving over to a full-time role for the right candidate. You will be paid weekly and receive the option of accrued annual leave.
