Job Description - Commercial HVAC & Air Conditioning Engineer
Are you an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning & HVAC Engineer looking for a role where your skills are properly rewarded?

This is a genuinely varied role where you won't be stuck working on the same equipment or in the same environment every day. You'll visit a diverse range of commercial and industrial sites, working with customers across London and the surrounding areas.

The Role
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning commercial air conditioning, HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple customer sites.
The environments are varied and can include pharmaceutical facilities, offices, council sites, nurseries, care homes, cafés, theatres, factories and other commercial premises.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Servicing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning commercial Air Con, HVAC and refrigeration systems
* Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting and carrying out system diagnostics
* Completing planned preventative maintenance, routine inspections and reactive breakdown work
* Responding to service calls and customer requirements
* Carrying out refrigerant recovery, evacuation, leak detection and charging in accordance with F-Gas regulations
* Completing service reports and communicating findings clearly to customers and management
* Identifying opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and energy efficiency
* Maintaining high standards of health and safety and compliance and supporting junior engineers or apprentices when required
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally be a commercially experienced engineer with a strong practical understanding of air conditioning, HVAC systems, controls and associated equipment.
You'll need:
* 3–5 years' experience in Air Conditioning, HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* Valid F-Gas certification
* Strong commercial Air Con and HVAC experience, including split, multi-split, VRF/VRV and associated HVAC equipment
* Good refrigeration principles, fault-finding and diagnostic knowledge
* Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive breakdown work
* The ability to work independently across multiple customer sites
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A professional approach to health and safety
* A full UK driving licence
Experience working across offices, retail, hospitality, leisure, healthcare, pharmaceutical, industrial or other commercial environments would be highly advantageous.
Additional qualifications such as IPAF, electrical testing, CSCS, Asbestos Awareness or Ladder Card would also be beneficial.

The role is primarily covering London and the surrounding areas, with engineers ideally based around London, Crawley, Wimbledon or Greenford. There are also opportunities extending further north as far as the Derby area.
There will be travel to customer sites, with the majority of the work being local to your area.
