What you'll do:

In the capacity of Commercial Litigation Solicitor based in Taunton, you will:

• Oversee a comprehensive caseload of commercial litigation matters from initial instruction through to trial and enforcement, ensuring each case receives meticulous attention and strategic direction.
• Draft detailed pleadings, witness statements, legal arguments, and correspondence tailored to the specific requirements of each client and matter.
• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and other dispute resolution forums with utmost professionalism and empathy.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice that is attuned to the commercial realities faced by clients while upholding the highest standards of service.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across the dispute resolution department to share knowledge, offer mutual support on cases, and contribute to collective success.
• Contribute meaningfully to business development initiatives by cultivating strong relationships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities for the firm.
• Remain abreast of developments in litigation practice and procedure to ensure your advice remains current and effective.

What you bring:

To excel as a Commercial Litigation Solicitor in this esteemed role, you will bring:

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction), demonstrating comprehensive understanding of local legal frameworks.
• A minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience managing complex litigation matters with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Extensive technical knowledge of litigation procedures including Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) acquired through substantive experience.
• Exceptional written communication skills enabling you to draft persuasive pleadings, statements, and correspondence tailored to each case.
• Outstanding oral advocacy abilities allowing you to represent clients effectively at hearings or alternative dispute resolution sessions.
