Job Description - Commercial Management Accountant

The Company

Axon Moore is partnering with a fast growing, professional services business in Central Manchester. Due to continued growth they require a commercially astute Management Accountant to join their exciting Finance team.

Salary – Circa £45,000 + bonus

Location – Central Manchester

Hybrid – 3 days in 2 working from home.

Responsibilities will include:

Full ownership of month-end close activities for the European entities.
Lead and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
Collaboration with local country directors and operational teams.
Take ownership of budgeting and cost control processes.
Collaborate with the wider finance team to identify missing items, chase and clear aged accruals & continuously improve the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Assist with ad hoc analysis, financial modelling, and cross-border finance initiatives as required.
Yearly audit deliverables.

Person Specification:

ACCA/CIMA Finalist or Newly Qualified
Broad experience of using standard accounting/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, etc.
Strong attention to detail – able to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
Effective stakeholder engagement – confident in dealing with senior stakeholders, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Presentation skills – capable of summarising complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Commercial acumen – understands business drivers and can link financial performance to operational activity.
