Are you a successful exhibition or sponsorship sales professional with experience leading teams and driving commercial growth? Do you enjoy building high-value partnerships, developing people, and delivering outstanding results within the events industry?

We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join one of the UK's leading event organisers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a flagship consumer exhibition, taking ownership of both sponsorship and exhibition revenue while leading and developing a high-performing sales team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business, securing major sponsorship agreements, growing exhibitor participation, and creating innovative commercial opportunities that deliver value for both clients and the event. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help shape the commercial strategy and ensure revenue targets are achieved and exceeded.

This role will involve leading, coaching and mentoring a commercial sales team, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance and creating a culture of accountability and success. You will manage key strategic sponsorship and exhibition opportunities personally, while supporting the wider team in building strong pipelines, developing tailored proposals and converting new business opportunities. You will also work closely with marketing, content and operations teams to ensure exceptional client delivery and identify new revenue-generating opportunities.

To be considered, you should have a proven track record in exhibition sales, sponsorship sales, event partnerships or a similar commercial role within the events industry. Previous experience managing or mentoring sales professionals is highly desirable, alongside strong new business development skills and the ability to negotiate and close high-value commercial agreements. You will be commercially minded, highly organised and confident communicating with senior decision-makers.
