Commercial Manager - Food industry

Are you looking for a commercial role where you can take ownership of major grocery accounts and drive new business into foodservice, wholesale and catering?

Would you like to work for a fast-paced food manufacturer that leads its category, has a strong quality and price offering, and continues to grow through NPD?

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll have two key areas of responsibility.

Developing existing grocery accounts:
You’ll manage branded label relationships with the top grocery retailers, taking ownership of negotiations, pricing, promotions and joint business plans. These established accounts have scope to grow through additional listings, wider distribution and stronger customer partnerships.

Winning new business:
A key priority will be expanding the business into foodservice, wholesale, and catering. You’ll identify opportunities, open doors with new customers and develop these channels into profitable, lasting revenue streams.

You’ll work closely with NPD, marketing, and operations to match the business’s products and capabilities with customer demand, helping bring new opportunities to market.

You’ll need experience managing face-to-face relationships and joint business plans with major grocery retailers within food manufacturing. Alongside this, you should bring a track record of winning business in foodservice, wholesale, or catering, ideally with established contacts you can build on.

Package: £55-65,000 + car allowance £5k + up to 20% bonus
Working arrangements: Yorkshire, Hybrid 3 days in office
