Position Overview:

My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to join their leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction or steelwork industry, with a proven track record in commercial management and business development. As the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, and enhancing profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company goals and market conditions.
Oversee all commercial activities, including contract negotiations, risk management, and financial planning.
Lead and mentor the commercial team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our market presence.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Prepare and present regular commercial reports to the executive team.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field;

MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
10 years of experience in a Commercial Management role within the Steelwork/Metalwork sectors
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to develop and implement successful commercial strategies.
Strong analytical and financial acumen.
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
