Higgins McGrath is hiring a Commercial Manager to lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, trainees and support staff on live projects across Bristol and the wider region — including a major project set to bring many jobs and over £100 million a year in economic value to the area.

As Commercial Manager, you'll:

* Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, trainees and support staff to hit turnover and margin targets

* Oversee budget reviews and cost value reconciliations, reporting KPIs to the Commercial Director

* Guide your team's commercial leadership on-site and mentor them toward qualifications

* Lead job start-up and preconstruction activity, managing commercial risk from day one

* Handle full line management: recruitment, performance reviews, leave and more

* Coordinate cash flow plans, programme reports and revenue updates across your projects

* Oversee subcontract packages, ensuring compliant terms and proper payment processes

This Commercial Manager role suits someone with a Quantity Surveying background who's ready to lead a team, not just manage their own numbers.

What you'll need for this Commercial Manager role:

* BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role

* Proven experience with JCT Design & Build and NEC contract forms

* Track record working on projects with Tier 1 Main Contractors

M&E or specialist contractor experience is a bonus though not a requirement.
