Commercial Officer

The company are a leading manufacturer of products and solutions for the security/defence industry.

The business are seeking to recruit a Commercial Officer for their operations.

The main responsibility of the role to to take management of the drafting, negotiation of contracts ensuring full compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Executive, the duties are as follows;

• Day to day contract and commercial management - being the main point of contact.
• Support the full project life cycle.
• Supporting the sales team developing commercial input into bidding an proposals to customers.
• Responsible for commercial negotiations and the closure of contracts.
• Communicate down the contractual obligations of the supply chain.
• Reporting on commercial opportunities , risks and develop commercial strategies to address opportunities and risks.
• Attending customer and supplier meetings.
• Understanding the requirements of export / import regulations and assist compliance team when required.
• Responsible for conducting due diligence screening on all third parties.

Key skills for this role are as follows;

• Strong experience in a commercial/legal/contract management role in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience of evaluating, drafting , negotiation and closure of complex contracts.
• Expertise of contracting with / purchasing from highly regulatory contractors.
• Experience of establishing and managing strategic relationships.
• Good organisation, able to multi task and meet deadlines.

The shift is a Days position (8am - 4.35pm Monday to Thursday & 8am - 3.10pm Friday)

Salary is up to £50k per annum.

The role is based in the Coventry area, so is commutable from Nuneaton, Bedworth, Kenilworth, Solihull, Birmingham, Solihull, Rugby, Hinckley.
