Are you an experienced Commercial Plant Engineer looking to advance your technical expertise at the forefront of low-carbon district energy schemes within a rapidly expanding industry leader?
A Leading Specialist in low-carbon district energy networks is expanding its operations and seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer (Commercial Plant Rooms) to cover London and the South of the UK. This is a pivotal role offering the chance to deliver planned maintenance, project works, and critical plant repairs across large-scale energy centres exceeding 1MW, directly supporting multi-million-pound urban decarbonisation developments.
The Opportunity:
You will play a vital role in delivering operation and maintenance services to optimise reliability and network efficiency across a growing fleet of heat networks. Your day-to-day remit involves:
Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules across pumps, actuators, plate heat exchangers, pressurisation units, and degassers.
Carrying out fault-finding, mechanical diagnostics, and repairs to commercial plant rooms and associated pipework.
Attending reactive site call-outs to diagnose root causes of operational failure and safely reinstate heat services.
Managing site-based project installations and scopes of work for commercial plant remediation while maintaining robust online maintenance records.
The Package:
Base salary of £42,750 – £50,000 + discretionary bonus + fully equipped company vehicle with private mileage allowance.

Technical Essentials:
To be successful, you must demonstrate high-level technical proficiency:
Mandatory: NVQ Level 2–3 in Gas or Plumbing; willingness to hold or work towards a valid Commercial Gas certificate.
Compliance/Systems: Strong understanding of safe mechanical and electrical isolation; ability to interpret P&IDs, technical drawings, and mechanical schematics; basic electrical competency.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience operating within commercial plant rooms or energy centres in excess of 1MW; background servicing pumps, valves, strainers, and pressurisation units (district heating network exposure advantageous).
Mobility: Full UK driving licence held valid for a minimum of 12 months.
