Commercial Property Litigation Solicitor - 3-6 years PQE

Manchester -Hybrid

Salary £65-70k plus benefits

The role will report to the Principal Solicitor within the Property Litigation team, The team works 2-3 days in the office per week and the rest of the time remotely.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Litigation Solicitor to join this specialist law firm based at their Manchester office.

The successful candidate will work across their specialist sectors, advising upon and dealing with various litigation, including court proceedings, arbitrations, and expert determinations. The successful person will have their own caseload and conduct high-value and complex litigation.

You will have experience with commercial landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. You will have dealt with common commercial property asset management matters such as alienation disputes, break notices, dilapidations, possession claims, rent arrears recovery, and forfeiture.

Your previous dealings will have included adverse possession claims, disputes concerning development and option agreements, easement, and restrictive covenant disputes. Whilst practice in

housing/residential

litigation shall be useful, your predominant practice to date should be commercial property disputes.

You will work within the Commercial Property Litigation team across the entire litigation process including working in specialist court divisions such as The Business and Property Courts, as well as being responsible for managing lower value claims.

You will have the desire to be involved in sector meetings as well as to assist with business development, seminars, and presentations.
You will enjoy supervising more junior members of the team and in time, there will be an opportunity for the right candidate to line-manage colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years+ PQE with sound experience in dealing with a variety of litigation matters. You will also be familiar with mediation and be able to hold a client’s confidence, advising about strategy, quantum, and merits relating to any claim.
