I'm working with an established Southwest Legal 500 firm, with offices across Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset, and a client base that’s as diverse as the geography. The firm is big enough to offer quality work, but not so large that you’ll feel lost in the crowd. The commercial property team is a key part of the firm’s success, bringing in over £4.5 million per year - and they’re not slowing down.

This is a full-time, permanent role based out of Exeter or one of the surrounding East Devon offices, depending on what works for you. You’ll handle a broad mix of commercial property work (landlord and tenant matters to acquisitions, development sites, retail and leisure projects, and business transfers like guesthouses and restaurants).

You’ll be managing your own files from day one, with the freedom to do things your way, while still being part of a collaborative, down-to-earth team. There’s also the opportunity to work closely with other departments like corporate and private client, so you can broaden your knowledge and deliver joined-up advice to clients.

The firm is looking for someone with at least 3 years’ PQE running their own commercial property files. That said, if you’re earlier on in your career and know this is the direction you want to go, I'd be keen to discuss your options!

There’s genuine scope to take on more responsibility, lead projects, mentor junior colleagues, and work towards Associate or Partnership (with proven examples in recent years).
