Commercial Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – £65,000-£75,000 per annum – London and Surrounding Counties

We’re looking for a skilled Commercial Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, managing budgets, and supporting project delivery through to completion. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our London office (EC2M 1NH), with a mix of site and office work.

Working closely with our project managers and clients, you’ll ensure costs are tracked, risks are identified early, and financial controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial fit-out projects
• Interpret project specifications and technical drawings
• Complete quantity take-offs and bills of quantities
• Track project costs and provide regular forecasts
• Identify and report risks and opportunities
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Stay up to date with market rates and trends
• Ensure compliance with construction standards and regulations
• Attend site meetings to assess progress and advise on cost issues

The Person

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
• 5+ years’ experience in surveying, estimating, and commercial management
• Solid understanding of JCT Design & Build and traditional contracts
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Experience with fit-out materials and methods
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to undergo security clearance in future (British passport holders preferred)
• Immediate availability or short notice
