Commercial Associate Solicitor – South West

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor to join a highly respected Legal 200 firm at associate level. Working closely with an experienced Partner, you'll support a broad client base — from large corporate bodies to SMEs and owner-managed businesses — across a wide range of industry sectors.

The Role
You will be responsible for advising on a wide variety of commercial matters, including:

• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements such as IT contracts and franchise documentation
• Advising on intellectual property matters, including licensing
• Reviewing, updating, and advising on a range of general commercial contracts
• Supporting clients with risk management, compliance, and commercial strategy
• Contributing to business development and maintaining long-term client relationships

About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded legal professional who thrives in a client-facing role. You will ideally be:

• A qualified solicitor or legal executive with demonstrable experience in commercial law
• Confident in managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Skilled in contract drafting and negotiation
• Comfortable building rapport with clients across various sectors
• Proactive in developing business opportunities and client relationships
