Commercial Vehicle Breakdown Technician

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Breakdown Technician on behalf of our Client, an Automotive Commercial Vehicle Specialist, based in the Reading area.

The successful Commercial Vehicle Breakdown Technician can expect a salary of up to £40,885, with OTE of circa £55,000 with Flexible Working Hours - Contractually 8am - 5pm.

Our Client is ideally looking for a Breakdown Technician to join their busy team; this is a full-time position and our Client is looking for individuals with previous working experience within this role, or any prior experience working with HGVs, lorries, or vans.

Typical Duties for our client include, but are not limited to:

• Servicing, Diagnosing, Repairing and conducting Maintenance of HGVs, lorries and vans.
• Responding to breakdown callouts and conduct roadside repairs.
• Repairing and replacing faulty parts, and components when required.
• Completion of Job Sheets and Documentation
• Liaising with the Service Department and Parts Department
• Completion of MOT preparation

Requirements:

• Previous working experience within HGVs, lorries or vans.
• Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Adhering to Health & Safety standards.
• Excellent mechanical knowledge
• A Class 1 Licence may be beneficial to your application
