The Role

We are looking for a passionate and eager Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their culinary career to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen. You will support the kitchen brigade in preparing high-quality dishes while learning the ins and outs of kitchen operations.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food, maintaining quality and portion control.
• Learn and adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Support senior chefs in various tasks, including mise en place and daily prep work.
• Be proactive in learning new skills and techniques to develop your culinary expertise.
• Help with inventory management and ensure proper stock rotation.

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential (1+ year).
• A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a willingness to take on new challenges.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Understanding of basic food hygiene principles is a plus.
• Right to work in the UK and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

• Competitive Pay & Earning Potential
• £33,000 - £35,000 indicative annual earnings (based on a 48-hour week).
• Hours & rota: full‑time, 5 days over 7 including evenings and weekends; rotas shared in advance.
• Holiday: 28 days per year including public holidays (pro rata).
