To assist with the implementation of the commissioning plan. To assist with the resolution of Electrical issues that may arise during the commissioning of equipment. To follow the Electrical aspect LOTO procedures. To record customer feedback on equipment performance. Use this information to improve company performance going forward. Ensure all tasks are completed to company, client and site safety management systems standards. Develop and maintain good working relationships between company and client/site/supplier representatives. Participate in knowledge sharing activities, to ensure the progression and development of all team members. Participate in training and development programs as required. Ensuring the safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary equipment performance in accordance with project schedule requirements. Any other duties as assigned by the Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer. Essential Skills of an Electrical Commissioning Engineer: Time served electrical engineering background. Basic Hydraulic /Mechanical knowledge would be an advantage. Be able to read and understand, Electrical schematics / drawings to a basic standard. Be competent in the use of all Microsoft Office products. Good communication skills. To be able to work away from home for extended periods of time (in general no more than 8 weeks unless mutually agreed). Be able to fault find and suggest temporary/permanent solutions on site. Understand the risks when working with electrical systems connected to high pressure, complex hydraulic machines. Have an understanding how the Electrical system integrates with the hydraulic / mechanical, and software aspects of the system. Understanding of Permit to work Procedures. Ability to work safely at heights. Powered access licenses preferable.
