Commissioning Engineer

Nelson Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a dynamic team, working on the commissioning, testing, and handover of a wide range of industrial and commercial systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Commission and test electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

* Carry out site inspections, fault-finding, and system validation.

* Verify installations comply with design specifications and industry standards.

* Produce commissioning reports and technical documentation.

* Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, and site teams.

* Support project delivery through the commissioning and handover stages.

* Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning activities.

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.

* Travel Nationwide for work

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Commissioning Engineer or in a similar engineering role.

* Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering knowledge.

* Experience working with PLCs, automation systems, or industrial controls is advantageous.

* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Relevant engineering qualifications such as HNC, HND, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
