Commissioning Engineer

Our client is a leading international provider of industrial water treatment and process filtration solutions. They support customers across a range of sectors, including industrial manufacturing, food & beverage, and healthcare, helping to solve complex process and production challenges through the design, installation, servicing, and maintenance of high-quality systems.

Current portfolio of projects includes power stations, energy from waste plants, food & beverage and healthcare. As Commissioning Engineer, you will be required to travel throughout the UK on a regular basis.

As Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning, fault finding, and optimisation of electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems associated with industrial water and wastewater treatment plants

Key responsibilities

* Commission low voltage (LV) electrical systems and associated plant equipment.

* Verify electrical installations against design drawings and specifications.

* Test motors, pumps, MCCs, switchboards, and transformers.

* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults during commissioning.

* Complete commissioning records and test certificates.

* Produce commissioning reports and snagging documentation.

* Ensure compliance with electricity regulations and site safety procedures.

Key experience required

* Electrical commissioning experience within industrial water treatment, utilities, manufacturing, power generation, or process industries.

* Experience commissioning MCCs, motors, drives, and instrumentation.

* Experience carrying out fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.

* HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering.

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

* Ability to work independently on customer sites.

* Willingness to travel throughout the UK
