Contract DV Commissioning Manager

• £65 per hour (Inside IR35) - initial 12-month contract
• Hybrid working arrangement - based in Reading
• Active DV clearance is essential

ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client operates at the forefront of national infrastructure and defence, delivering complex and secure technical projects in high-stakes environments. Known for their rigorous standards and engineering excellence, they play a pivotal role in national resilience. Due to a key programme milestone, they are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project.

THE COMMISSIONING MANAGER ROLE:

As Commissioning Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering the full lifecycle of commissioning activities - from strategy and planning to testing, validation, and operational handover. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll ensure all systems are safe, compliant, and ready for operational use. You'll bring technical expertise in mechanical, process, electrical, or I&C systems to help maintain the highest safety standards.

COMMISSIONING MANAGER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Active Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
• Degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
• Demonstrable experience in commissioning complex infrastructure or regulated environments
• Expertise in verification & validation methodologies (V model)
• Experience across highly secure environments such as defence, nuclear, national security etc.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• UK Driving Licence
