Job Description - Communication and Marketing Manager

Job Description

Are you looking for a part time role with purpose? We are currently supporting our Charity of the Year, Props, to hire a Communication and Marketing Manager. This the purpose of this role is to help Props communicate all their great news stories to the public and internally as well as raise more engagement and awareness for the charity.

Who are Props?
Props are a Bristol based Charity who empower adults who have learning disabilities to achieve purposeful and rewarding work opportunities. They create safe and supportive learning environments where adults with learning disabilities can be trained on the basic skills needed for employment. Through their own enterprises including: Workshop, Vassal Cafe, Crafted, Tapestry and Cycle Hub by Props, they are able to offer their trainees their first step into employed work. They also partner with various other businesses to allow for as many work opportunities as possible.

This role:
Props are now in need of someone with creative flair and marketing expertise to help tell their story.
In this role you will be responsible for a variety of exciting and fulfilling tasks including:
Internal communications
Website updates
Social media management
Corporate partnerships with local businesses
External event communications, newsletters etc (Bristol to Bordeaux cycle)
Event marketing

The role is 3 days a week requiring at least one of those days to be onsite in the Vassals Centre, Bristol.

The person:
This role would suit someone with some previous marketing experience. Someone that can do the day to day marketing tasks but also bring new and exciting ideas to the table.

If you have a passion for supporting and enabling everyone into work, this role would be perfect for you!

We need someone that will be proud to be part of the trainees journey into work and can showcase all the great achievements along the way.

The benefits:
This is a part time role, 22.5 hours per week, paying £32,000 per annum (pro rata). Days and times may vary dependant on the requirement and the candidate.
It is a hybrid role, allowing both home and onsite working.
