Job Description - Communications Executive

Communications Coordinator
Location: Norwich, United Kingdom
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 25–30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible working options available)
Salary: £28,500 (pro rata)

About the Role

Our client are looking for a proactive and creative Communications Coordinator to join their Team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering internal communications and engagement initiatives that support our wider People Plan. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure our people are informed, connected, and inspired.

This is a varied role that spans digital marketing, internal communications, PR, and corporate publications. You’ll help shape communication strategies, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and bring fresh ideas to enhance engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the People Team and wider organisation in delivering timely, relevant communications
  • Develop and manage digital engagement channels
  • Research, write, and edit content for internal platforms, newsletters, and operational updates
  • Create content for brochures, flyers, and promotional materials
  • Plan and deliver internal engagement events
  • Explore innovative ways to boost colleague engagement and collaboration
  • Maintain and update intranet content
  • Source and develop stories and content ideas from across the business
  • Contribute to People Team initiatives and events
  • Carry out other duties as required to support the team
Person Specification

Education & Qualifications

  • Essential: High standard of written English
  • Desirable: Qualification in Communications or Marketing

Skills & Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships quickly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Experience in internal communications and/or social media
  • Background in writing, English, or business communications
  • Organised, with strong administrative skills
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and internal communication platforms
  • Creative and confident in presenting new ideas
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a professional services environment
  • Experience working across both People and Marketing functions
