We're looking for an experienced communications professional to help plan and deliver effective campaigns that focus on the council's strategic projects.
About the Role
We'll need you to produce, implement and project manage a wide range of external and internal communications strategies to support the council’s priorities, working closely with Communications Officers, Designers and the Digital Team to develop and implement integrated communication strategies. You'll be co-ordinating the work of the Communications Officers and designing and presenting campaign proposals to members and officers in a persuasive and effective manner and provides sound communications advice.
This post is politically restricted therefore the postholder is disqualified from undertaking certain political activities under the Local Government Officers (Political Restrictions) Regulations 1990.

One of the projects the successful candidate will work on is HDRC (Health Determinants Research Collaboration). The successful candidate will need to get up to speed quickly with a complex project that has a wide range of audiences and stakeholders. Experience of communicating on this type of project would be beneficial.
