Community Nurse

Intrepid Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced Registered General Nurses (RGNs) for community nursing opportunities across Swindon.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to individuals within their own homes and community settings, supporting patients with a variety of clinical needs.

Working independently and alongside wider community healthcare teams, you will help patients manage their conditions, maintain their independence and receive the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.

Provide nursing care to patients within their own homes and community settings.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely.

Undertake wound care, dressing changes and pressure area management.

Perform venepuncture and manage clinical observations.

Monitor patients with long-term conditions and identify signs of deterioration.

Provide catheter care and management where competent.

Support patients with complex healthcare needs.

Promote patient independence, dignity and wellbeing.

Liaise with GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

Follow infection prevention and control procedures.

Escalate clinical concerns and safeguarding issues appropriately
