Community Occupational Therapist - Duty Team

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client's busy and supportive Community Occupational Therapy Duty Team in Rochdale. This office-based role is located alongside the Prevention Team and other Adult Care Services.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Screen incoming enquiries using robust tools to determine appropriate responses.


• Provide advice, support, and signposting to service users.


• Collaborate with Occupational Therapy Managers to prioritize cases and determine the need for face-to-face visits.


• Conduct Duty visits when required to assess and reduce risk, promoting independence.


• Apply sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and OT practices within Equipment and Adaptations Services.


• Utilize Magic Notes, a newly implemented tool, to support documentation and workflow during Duty work.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.


• Proven experience in adult social care, particularly in equipment and adaptations.


• Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014.


• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.


• Willingness to undertake occasional community visits as part of Duty responsibilities.
