Location: Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Hours: 3 days per week, flexible.

Contract: Temporary for 6 months

What you’ll be responsible for:

* Ensure the provision of an efficient and confidential administrative service for the Community Receptions.

* Responsible for meeting and greeting patients on arrival at locality bases and for registering their arrival at reception using System One.

* Answering external/internal telephone enquiries from professional staff and members of the public ensuring accurate information is captured, recorded and passed onto the appropriate person(s) in an efficient and timely way.

* Deal with telephone enquiries Voice Mail, E Mail promptly and efficiently. Communicate clearly and effectively with all internal and external Health Care Professionals and other clerical staff.

* Administrative duties including scanning, photocopying, filing, sending faxes, taking messages for clinical staff, organising meetings and sorting of mail.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

* Excellent telephone management skills

* Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel

* NHS System Knowledge

* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
