Company Accountant - Manufacturing Industry

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Company Accountant to join a growing business in the Cinderford area of Gloucestershire. This role is perfect for an experienced finance professional who is looking to take ownership of the company's financial operations and support its continued expansion.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile cashbook.
• Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs for authorisation.
• Oversee credit control, including resolving outstanding queries.
• Assist with purchasing and raising purchase orders.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Produce month-end management accounts.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
• Oversee and update product costings.
• Plan and attend stock counts and valuations.
• Submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Carry out ad-hoc finance duties as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience with at least two years of experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Sage 50 (essential).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Highly organised, proactive, and approachable.
• Reliable, consistent, and able to meet deadlines.

Salary & Benefits:

• £35,000 - £42,000 per year (Full-time, Permanent, On-site)
• 3% Employer Pension Contribution
• 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays
