Are you an experienced accountant ready to take full ownership of the finance function for a fast-growing business? We’re working with a dynamic group of companies in Nottingham who are looking for a standalone Company Accountant to join their team and manage the full finance function across two related but independent businesses.

This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to take full control of accounting operations, reporting directly to the company director, and play a key role in transitioning finance processes from an external provider to an in-house function. You’ll oversee everything from monthly management accounts to cash flow, forecasting, and compliance, all while having the autonomy to shape the financial direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Manage bookkeeping, cash flow, forecasting, and cost allocation
• Ensure compliance with HMRC and financial regulations
• Collaborate with external accountants during the transition phase
• Provide insightful financial reports to the company director

What we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of Xero (preferred) or other accounting software
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-sufficient in managing the finance function
