COMPEX Electricians – Industrial and Hazardous-Area Projects

£33.00–£38.00 per hour

MEP Technical Talent would like to speak with experienced COMPEX electricians based across Teesside and the North East for upcoming industrial projects locally and throughout the UK.

We are particularly interested in electricians with experience working within petrochemical plants, process facilities, energy projects, utilities, manufacturing sites and other hazardous-area environments.

Depending on the assignment, the package may include:

Basic rates between £33.00 and £38.00 per hour

*

Enhanced Saturday and Sunday rates

*

Overtime during shutdowns and busy project periods

*

Accommodation, lodge or subsistence allowance

*

Rotational working patterns

*

Long hours and extended working weeks

Likely duties may include:

*

Hazardous-area electrical installation

*

Industrial containment and cabling

*

SWA cable glanding and termination

*

Motors, instruments and control equipment

*

ATEX inspections and remedial work

*

Reading electrical drawings

*

Working under permit-to-work procedures

*

Shutdown, maintenance and construction activity

Suitable applicants should ideally hold:

Current COMPEX EX01–EX04

*

ECS/JIB Gold Card

*

18th Edition

*

Recognised electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification

*

Relevant industrial or hazardous-area experience
