Our individuals have very busy social lives, we are looking for people who are caring and energetic and can help them live life to the full.
JOB DESRIPTION (This is NOT a FULL and comprehensive Job Description)
HEALTH CARE
Care for and assist individuals with their daily care and health needs.
To support individuals in the end stages of their lives; this includes supporting individual’s families during this time as well as the individual.
To support individuals in a hospital setting if their health needs change and can no longer be met at home leading to a hospital admission for treatment.
To assist individuals with their day -to -day therapies
To provide invasive personal care on a day -to -day basis, each carer must uphold complete privacy and dignity when carrying out any personal care tasks with an individual.
CLINICAL SKILLS
To dispense and administer medications on a daily basis following care plans and medication administration charts.
To identify and respond swiftly if individuals need PRN medication.
Some medication may be given by a specialist technique; this will be covered within your induction training (Enteral medication, suppositories and enemas).
SOCIAL CARE
To be a responsible role model to the individuals in the home and the wider community.
To promote life skills within the home and community such as laundry, washing up, cooking, cleaning, room tidying and shopping.
To encourage each individual to become as independent as their abilities allow them to and empower each individual to reach their full potential.
To be able to confidently support ALL individuals within the community to attend social activities such as clubs, dining, swimming and general day to day social activities.
To help prepare freshly cooked meals on a daily basis. To maintain a healthy balanced diet for the individuals in your care.
To drive individual’s vehicles if insured to do so and qualified to do so.
GENERAL
To maintain confidentiality at all times in and outside of the home.
To co -operate in the agreed systems of supervision and staff appraisals.
To maintain a clean and tidy living environment for the individuals living in the home.
To have full knowledge and understanding of safeguarding adults and how to report a safeguarding concern.
To carry out all duties in line with Tailored Transitions policies, procedures and practices.
Requirements
You must have the right to work within the UK (we do NOT offer sponsorships)
A good standard of English both spoken and written and be able to communicate effectively
Access to your own car is a distinct advantage, but not essential.
A warm, compassionate, and personable nature with the ability to work with patience, tact and understanding
