Job Title: Complex Injury Claims Assistant
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Contract: Hybrid, Full Time, Permanent

We're looking for a proactive and ambitious Paralegal to join our growing team, supporting complex, high-value personal injury cases. This role is ideal for someone with experience in personal injury, RTA, or litigation who is looking to step up into serious and catastrophic injury work.
You'll work alongside senior solicitors on life-changing cases involving brain, spinal, and orthopaedic injuries, as well as amputations. With full training, close supervision, and a clear development plan, this is an excellent opportunity to build a career in serious injury litigation.

• 
  Assist senior fee earners with the day-to-day management of serious injury claims from instruction through to resolution
• 
  Draft legal correspondence, witness statements, and instructions to experts and counsel
• 
  Liaise with clients, medical professionals, insurers, counsel, and rehabilitation providers
• 
  Review medical records and expert evidence
• 
  Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records via our case management system
• 
  Support with rehabilitation coordination and interim payment applications
• 
  Attend client meetings, conferences, and court hearings as required
• 
  Conduct legal research and assist with all phases of litigation

Essential:

• 
  At least 6 months' experience in personal injury, RTA, or general litigation
• 
  Understanding of the personal injury process and Civil Procedure Rules
• 
  Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills
• 
  High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach
• 
  Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
• 
  Proficient with legal software and case management systems

Desirable:

• 
  Experience supporting multi-track or serious injury claims
• 
  Law degree and/or completion of LPC or SQE (or currently studying)
• 
  Strong interest in serious injury law and long-term career development
• 
  Empathetic and professional when dealing with vulnerable clients

• 
  Hybrid working - 2-3 days in the office (Wakefield)
