Complex Injury Costs Negotiator

Our client is a highly regarded national firm who are seeking an experienced costs negotiator to join their legal team specialising in complex injury cases based in Bolton. In this specialist role, you'll be reviewing, assessing and negotiating the settlement of costs on a range of complex personal injury matters.

Key responsibilities as a Complex Injury Costs Negotiator:

• Rapid review of files to develop early costs strategies.
• Drafting Points of Dispute and evaluating Replies.
• Conducting early telephone negotiations with opposing parties.
• Advising clients and legal teams on all aspects of costs.
• Maintaining accurate records through the case management system.
• Achieving performance targets, including chargeable hours and SLAs.
• Delegating tasks effectively and supporting team development.
• Drafting and opposing applications, instructing Counsel or Costs Lawyers where needed.

• Experience in negotiating legal costs and resolving disputes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage your own caseload and meet performance targets.
• Skilled in telephone negotiation and tactical advice.
• Collaborative team player with strong decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in IT systems and case management.
• Budget preparation experience.
• Advocacy experience is desirable.
