A specialist school in Thatcham is seeking a committed Complex Needs Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with a range of complex learning, physical, and communication needs within a nurturing educational environment.

As a Complex Needs Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may have ASD, PMLD, physical disabilities, sensory needs, and associated learning difficulties. You will help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support as a Complex Needs Support Assistant
Assisting pupils with learning, communication, and daily routines
Supporting students with physical and sensory needs where required
Encouraging independence and personal development
Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement personalised support plans
Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentThis Complex Needs Support Assistant role is ideal for graduates, aspiring therapists, support workers, or anyone with experience working with children or adults with additional needs. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
